In 2020, the RRAC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships and RRAC Softball Championship will return to Central Louisiana, the conference office announced following a vote by member athletic directors. "We really enjoy working alongside great partners in our area to bring events to Central Louisiana," said LSUA Director of Athletics Adam Jonson. "Having our league peers vote to bring these events back to LSUA should bring great pride to CenLA, and it is a testament to the hard work of our coaches and staff to host first class events that provide a top notch experience for student-athletes and fans alike."

The RRAC basketball tournament returns to the Rapides Parish Coliseum for the first time since 2017, where the Generals men's team took home that year's title on their way to a 34-1 record and the program's first NAIA Fab Four appearance. The 2020 version of the tournament will again have the top six men's and women's teams in the conference battling it out over three days and three rounds to see who will earn the tournament championship and automatic berths into the respective NAIA national tournaments.

"We're excited to be bringing two more RRAC events to Alexandria in 2020," says Red River Athletic Conference Commissioner Tony Stigliano. "LSU Alexandria did a tremendous job as host of the RRAC basketball tournament in 2017, and their administration filled in admirably when weather forced us to move the RRAC softball tournament there last year. I have complete confidence in Adam Jonson, his coaches and support staff to serve as excellent hosts in their community." Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas), who made the NAIA Fab Four last season, will look to defend the RRAC women's basketball tournament title they won this past season in Texarkana. A new men's basketball tournament champion will be crowned in the Rapides Parish Coliseum this season with last year's champions, University of St. Thomas (Texas), having recently announced a move from the RRAC to NCAA Division III for this upcoming year. The Generals will look to win another title on their home field in the RRAC Softball Championship, having staved off elimination in five straight games to win the 2019 title, marking LSUA's fourth RRAC softball championship in five seasons since joining the conference.

The Red River Athletic Conference Men and Women's Basketball Championships will be held March 5 -7 at the Rapides Parish Coliseum. More details coming soon.
